Class of 2023 offensive lineman Zxamyir Pelissier shines on The SHOW's big stage

The 2022 Trench King Challenge at The SHOW featured dozens of talented linemen from across the United States. Class of 2023 lineman Zxamyir Pelissier talked with Youth1 about his experience at the TKC.

WHO IS ZXAMYIR PELISSIER?

Pelissier is a 6-foot-3, 305-pound, offensive guard out of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Florida. He's a two-time state champion who currently has four offers. Morehouse State and Allen University have both offered Pelissier. He won two MVPs and earned a spot in the TKC Finals at The SHOW. Pelissier talked with Youth1 about his experience at The SHOW.

Pelissier on what he learned about himself by participating in the TKC:

"I learned that I still have a lot to learn. Little things count when performing each drill the right way. For example, you need good hand placement, feet movement, and a sturdy base. I also learned that as much as you think you're working hard, there's someone out there working as much or more than you. So, I have to keep pushing myself. The coaches at the event really helped us understand that."

Pelissier on what he will work on during the rest of this offseason:

"I'll be working on getting my feet faster, jumping rope, doing more ladder work, footwork, and learning not to reach so much.

Pelissier's overall thoughts on The SHOW and The TKC:

"I loved it. It was hot, but I think it was an outstanding event. I leaned a lot from all the coaches and made a lot of new friends. So, it would get an 11 on a scale of 1-10."

Youth1 Extra Point

The offensive linemen group was one of the best ones I've seen from top to bottom at a NextGen event. That Pelissier made it to the finals says a lot about his talent. I'd even say he was a Top 5 offensive lineman at the TKC. Look for Pelissier to have a strong senior year performance this fall for Cardinal Gibbons High School.
